You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Solution 1: The coordinates of N are (x, 0). Use the Pythagorean Theorem.
%28BA%29%5E2+%2B+%28BN%29%5E2+=+%28AN%29%5E2;
;
9+%2B+16+%2B+9-6x%2B+x%5E2+%2B+16+=+x%5E2;
50 - 6x = 0;
50 = 6x;
x = 25/3.

Solution2: Slope of line AB is 4/3. Thus the slope of line BN must be the negative reciprocal, or -3/4.
Hence %284-0%29%2F%283-x%29+=+-3%2F4, or 16 = -9 + 3x, or 25 = 3x, or x = 25/3.
