Question 378617: if you are given 50 feet of fence what would the formula for the area of a rectangular fenced in garden plot be in terms of length (L) of one of its sides?
Answer by richard1234(7193) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
If the length of the plot is L, then the width is 25 - L (not 50 - L, do you see why?).
With a length L and width 25 - L, it follows that the area is L(25 - L).
