Question 190650: Can someone please help me with this problem:
An airplane travels at constant speed for a distance of 120km it a time of 15 min. Its speed is:
a. 30 km/h.
b. 120 km/h.
c. 480 km/h.
d. 1800 km/h.

Answer by orca(409)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Use this formula to find the speed:
speed = (distance traveled)/(time spent)
Before substituting the time into the formula, change the unit of time from minutes to hours.
15 minutes = 15/60 hour = 0.25 hour
Now
speed = 120/0.25 = 480 km/h.
