Question 190162: I want to order an object from a brochure, but need to know if it will fit my space. The dimensions are given as: 12x24x36 inches. Is there a RULE about how to write/read dimensions? (similar to" the top of the map is north".) example do I read this size as width, length and depth? or as length, width, height? or .......?
HELP and THANKS.

Almost always it's: Length x width x height
Usually the length is longer than the width, however, but the height is always last.
