A cemist has 60 g of solution that is 70 % acid. How much water should be added to make a sloution that is 40% acid?
-----------------------
The starting solution has 42 grams of acid (60*0.7).
This same 42 grams will be in the solution with more water to make it 40$.
If 42 grams is 40% of the solution, the total solution will be 105 grams.
So 45 grams of water must be added.
