Understand the point to be found will be part of two pair of parallel lines.
This point can literally be found graphically at a very low level.
Do you see the needed point will be to the right of the given three points?
Can you find the slope and count the units of (5,12) and (2,7)?

I'll provide a visual for what I'm referring to.

A = (5, 12)
B = (2, 7)
C = (6, 1)
D = (9, 6)
The movement from B to A is "up 5, right 3"
The movement from C to D is also "up 5, right 3"
Both lines have a slope of 5/3, which tells us segment AB is parallel to segment CD.
Use the slope formula to confirm that slopeBC = slopeAD, which will show BC is parallel to AD.
