Y=X-4 (RED LINE)

IF YOU SET X=0 THEN Y=0-4 OR Y=-4 (0,-4)
SET Y=0 THEN 0=X-4 OR X=4 (4,0)
NOW YOU HAVE 2 POINTS TO DRAW A LINE THROUGH WITH A SLOPE (m)=1

2Y=-X+10 OR Y=-X/2+10/2 OR Y=-X/2+5 (GREEN LINE)
-------------------------------------------------------
AGAIN SET X=0 Y=-0/2+5 OR Y=5 (0,5)
SETY=0 0=-X/2+5 -X/2=-5 OR X=-5*-2 OR X=10 (10,0)
NOW DRAW A LINE THROUGH THESE 2 POINTS WITH A SLOPE(m)=-1/2

(6,2) looks like a solution for these two lines.

Solve the following system of equations by graphing:
y=x-4
2y=-x+10
---------------
y = x-4
Plot two points and draw a line thru them:
Let x=0, then y = -4 giving you point (0,-4)
Let x=1, then y = -3 giving you point (1,-3)

y = (-1/2)x+5
Plot two points and draw a line on the same
set of axes:
Let x = 0, then y = 5 giving you point (0,5)
Let x = 2, then y = 4 giving you point (2,4)

It looks like the line intersect at (6,2)
