Draw this and start with AB, which has slope -1
BD has slope 1, so their product is -1 and they are perpendicular.
DC has slope -1 and CA has slope 1, so they are perpendicular.
Drawing this and labelling it is important, because BC is not along the perimeter of the square but is a diagonal.

Find the 4 side lengths.
If they're equal, it's a parallelogram.
If they're equal, and one interior angle = 90 degs, it's a square.
