i changed Maker to jaker, since that seems to be what you are calling him by later in the problem.
jaker and lades share their collection of 5000 stickers in the ratio of 5:3.
that means jaker has 5 stickers for every 3 that lades has.
for every 8 stickers, jaker has 5 and lades has 3.
divide 5000 by 8 and you get 625.
there are 625 sets of 8 stickers each in 5000 stickers.
jaker has 5 * 625 = 3125 stickers
lades has 3 * 625 = 1875 stickers
total stickers is 3125 + 1875 = 5000
jaker shares with two friends in the ratio of 3:1:1
jaker has 3125 stickers.
for every 5 stickers, he keeps 3 and gives 1 to each of his friends.
there are 3125 / 5 = 625 sets of 5 stickers in 3125 stickers.
3 * 625 = 1875
1 * 625 = 625
1 * 625 = 625
total is 3125 stickers.
bottom line:
5000 stickers to start.
jaker has 3125
lades has 1875
jaker shares with his friends.
out of the 3125 jaker had, he now has 1875 and each of his friends has 625.
final tally.
jaker has 1875
lades has 1875
jaker's two friends have 625 each for a total of 1250
total is 5000

The ratio 5:3 means jaker has 5/8 of the 5000 stickers.
The ratio 3:1:1 means each of jaker's friends gets 1/5 of jaker's stickers.
So the number of stickers each of jaker's friends receives is 1/5 of 5/8 of 5000:
