Hi there,
Make width = x
Length = x + 6
Perimeter of rectangle =
2 x Length + 2 x width
2(x + 6) + 2(x) = 176
2x + 12 + 2x = 176
Collect like terms:
2x + 2x = 176 - 12
4x = 164
x = 41 inches
Width = 41 inches
Length = 47 inches
