Use the Pythagorean Theorem to find the diameter.
a^2+b^2=c^2
6^2+8^2=c^2
c=sqrt of 100
c=10.
That is the diameter.
---------------------
a=3.14r^2
a=3.14*5^2
a=3.14*25
a=78.5 sq un
