so, if you have means you get to add two negative numbers and you just add then and give the sum negative sign: you will have

so, you will have to add and ; recall the rule for adding positive and negative number-you subtract smaller absolute value from greater absolute value and give the difference the sign of greater absolute value (in your case smaller absolute value has the number and the greater absolute value has the number )
