     8t+13=3 I have tried subtracting 13 from both sides getting 8t= -10 now what?
8t+13=3
8t= -10 (so far, so good)
Now, we divide both sides by 8:
t= -10/8
Reducing the fraction:
t= -5/4
or, in decimal (just divide -5 by 4)
t= -1.25
