Question 477888: What is the inverse of f(x)=(x-7)^3
I know you change out f(x) to y: y=(x-7)^3
Then swap x and y: x=(y-7)^3...But now I am stuck as to what numbers will come back over with y..Can you help?

You got to okay. Then you would have to solve for y.
Take the cube root of both sides:

And now add 7 to both sides:

Flip it for sanity's sake:

Now change y to f(x) and voila!!
