Question 439558: what is the inverse of F(x)=(2x-3)/5
Answer by nerdybill(7384)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
F(x)=(2x-3)/5
y=(2x-3)/5
switch the x and y:
x=(2y-3)/5
solve for y:
x=(2y-3)/5
5x=2y-3
5x+3 = 2y
(5x+3)/2 = y
(5/2)x + 3/2 = y
.
F^-1(x)=(5/2)x + 3/2 (this is your inverse)
