Hello,
Let's write it out as:
-2x = 1/9 Now divide both sides by -2
x=-1/9/2 This looks pretty strange but it can be rewritten as:
x=-1/9 * 1/2 which will be
x=-1/18
This answer can be plugged into the original and it fits!
