Question 100337: I think I know how to solve this problem, but Im not really sure, and I think the answer is 12. Please help me, the problem is:
The number of days needed to assemble some machines varies directly as teh number of machines. If it takes 32 days to assemble 16 machines, how many days will it take 24 machines?
Answer by checkley71(8403) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
16/32=24/X NOW CROSS MULTIPLY
16X=32*24
16X=768
X=768/32
X=24 DAYS TO ASSEMBLE 12 MACHINES.
