Question 131207: A student must have an average grade of 90 or grater on five tests in a course to get a grade of A. The student has grades of 84, 93, 92, and 89 on the first four tests. What possible scores on the fifth test would resalt in a grade of A for the student?

Question 131317: the problem is: solve for x and graph on a number line.
5 - 3x > 10x - 8
i came up with X > 1
and when i graphed the problem i started at 1 (i drew the circle NOT shadded in) and drew the arrow going in the positive direction.
i can't figure out the right solution for this problem.

Question 131811: Thank you so much! I am in prealgebra and I am having a hard time with solving inequality and then graphing the solution on a number line. This is a worksheet, I could not find anything in my book. The question would read: negative one quarter x is greater than or equal to negative 12.
-1/4x > -12 this could be greater than or equal to
Any help you could give would be great!

Question 133488: it's a word problem.
A number is less than 1/4 the sum of 3 times the number and four.
I have set it up as n< 1/4 (3n+4). But then I got stuck. my algebra teachers absent or I would of hard her help me but the sub is unhelpful.
