Question 108980: I am to Solve this inequality...the actual answer is (-9/5, 1)
(didnt know how to make vertical lines but the 5k+2 has vertical lines on each side)
What I got so far
5k+2 -3 <=4
7k-3<=4
4k-3<=4-3

Question 108994: I could totall be overthinking this because I tend to do so, but can you please tell me if I am correct or understand the following.
Trying to solve the inequality the absoulute value of b < = 8.
I belive the answer is [-8,8] becuase obvisouly the 8 would be equal to the 8 but from every example i have seen like this the same # is always used as a negitive and I dont understand why (in this case the -8).
Is this always the case or is there something I am missing or overthinking?
Thank you kindly for your help :0)

Question 109120: I need help solving rational inequalities. I have to solve 4x/x+1 < -3x/x-6 algebraically using a number line and test points. I have to determine when f(x)=4x/x+1 is less than g(x)= -3x/x-6.
I have tried to answer the question but my answer doesn't make any sense to me because I can't tell when f(x) is less than g(x) from when I solved the inequalitie algebraically using the method my teacher taught me.

Question 111930: Hi, I am working on an inequality word problem and I would like to know ifthis is right. I appreciate your help on this. Here it is: Translate the following statements into inequalities. Let x represent the number in each case.
Here is the problem; 2 times a number, increased by 28, is less than or equal to 6 times that number.
The equation I have is this; 2x+28<6 (there should be a line under the "greater than sign" as well)
I hope I explained this well for you. Thank you for your input.
