Question 977414: Solve inequality. Please show steps too. I have no idea how to do this.
4x^2 - 5x - 6 <= 0

Answer by rothauserc(4718)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
4x^2 - 5x - 6 <= 0
factor the polynomial
(4x+3)*(x-2) = 0
there are 2 cases to consider
*******************************
1) 4x+3 = 0
4x = -3
x = -3/4
*******************************
2) x - 2 = 0
x = 2
*******************************
solution is (-3/4) <= x <= 2
