The median of a set of 6 numbers is 47. The numbers are: 13, 43, 34, 52, 64, and q.
Find the value of q.
:
= 47
multiply both sides by 6, gets rid of the denominator, add up the numbers
206 + q = 6 * 47
206 + q = 282
subtract 206 from both sides
q = 282 - 206
q = 76 is the value of q
