Answer by satyareddy22(84)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Let x be the number.
Three times a number=3x
twice the opposite of the number=2(-x)=-2x
3x-(-2x)=15
3x+2x=15
5x=15=>x=15/5=3
x=3
