Question 935325: If -7a is greater than or equal to -14,then a is....?
Answer by Theo(13342)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
-7a >= -14
multiply both sides of the inequality by -1.
this reverses the inequality and you get:
7a <= 14
divide both sides of the inequality by 7 to get:
a <= 2
that's your solution.
-7 * 1 = -7 which is greater than or equal to -14.
-7 * 2 = -14 which is greater than or equal to -14.
-7 * 3 = -21 which is NOT greater than or equal to -14.
