Question 92717: Question: Solve: |x-2|<1
How do i solve this?
Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Solve: |x-2|< 1
Comment: If you have the following inequality, |w|<2, then
-2 < w < 2
The same is true for |x-2| <1
It means -1 < x-2 < 1
----------------
You then add 2 along the line to get:
-1+2 < x-2+2 < 1+2
Then 1 < x < 3
--------------
Hope this helps.
