Question 92422: Solve for absolute value inequality and then graph the solution set.I am having difficulty with the inequality part.

Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
1>(1/2)|6-x|-3/4
Add 3/4 to both sides to get:
7/4 > (1/2)|6-x|
Multiply both sides by 2 to get:
7/2 > |6-x|
Interpret the absolute value:
-(7/2) < 6-x < (7/2)
Multiply thru by -1 to get:
-(7/2) < x-6 < (7/2)
Add 6 along the line to get:
5/2 < x < 19/2
