Question 923251: Which is the given inequality in interval notation?
x<2
A. x e (-infinity,2)
B. x e (2,infinity)
C. x e [2,infinity)
D. x e (-infinity,2]

Answer by KMST(5347)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
(-infinity,2) is
from -infinity (considered not included because -infinity is not really a number
to 2, with 2 not included.
That is all real numbers x, such that x<2.
That is the answer in interval form.
You do not want (-infinity,2], because that includes x=2 (that is what the square bracket next to the 2 means.
The other answers include numbers like x=5 that are not less than 2.
