Question 886431: What are the possible values of x in the inequality, 2x+10 is greater than or equal to 7(x+1)?
Answer by rothauserc(4718)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
2x+10 > or = 7(x+1)
2x+10 > or = 7x+7
subtract 7x from both sides of > or =
-5x+10 > or = 7
subtract 10 from both sides of > or =
-5x > or = -3
divide both sides of > or = by -5
x < or = 3/5 = 0.60
the interval for x is (-infinity, 0.60], the interval is closed on the right side
