Answer by indra89811(24)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Distributing the numbers within the parenthesis,
-2y + 4 - 3y + 2 = - 2 - 6y + 2
Combining the like terms,
-5y+6=-6y
Adding 5y on both sides, we get
6=-y
Multiplying both sides by -1,
-6=y
or, y=-6 is the required solution.
