Question 867884: 5[-9-5x]-35 > 5
Answer by lenny460(1073) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
5[-9-5x]-35 > 5
5 * -9 = -45
5 * -5x = -25x
Therefore:
-45 - 25x - 35 > 5
-45 - 35 = -80
-80 - 25x > 5
Add 80 to each side of the inequality.
-80 - 25x + 80 > 5 + 80
-25x > 85
Divide each side by -25
x < -85/25
x < -17/5
