Question 86209: 3x-4(2x-3) > 5-(4-7x)
Answer by ptaylor(2198)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
3x-4(2x-3) > 5-(4-7x) First we get rid of parens
3x-8x+12>5-4+7x subtract 7x and also 12 from both sides
3x-8x+12-12-7x>5-4-12+7x-7x collect like terms
-12x>-11 divide both sides by -12 (remember, inequality sign reverses)
x<11/12
Hope this helps---ptaylor
