Question 830064: i need help with compound inequalities
5-x≥7 or 8x-3>29 and i need to graph this too

Answer by LinnW(1048)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
First simply
5 - x >= 7
add -5 to each side
-x >= 2
multiply each side by -1 which will change inequality direction
x <= -2
**********
8x - 3 > 29
add 3 to each side
8x > 32
divide each side by 8
x > 4
Now we have x <= -2 or x > 4
So draw a number line beginning at about -3 and increment by 1
Put a left facing bracket at -2 and draw a line left.
Put a right facing paren at 4 and draw line to the right.
