Two trains in opposite direction pass each other on parallel tracks. One train averages at most 80 km/h, and the other averages at most 65km/h. What is the least possible time that it could take for the two trains to be 290 km apart.
----------
Let x be the time needed for them to be 290 km apart.
1st train goes =<80x km
2nd train goes =<65x km
--------------
INEQUALITY:
80x+65x=<290 km
145x =< 290 km
x =< 2 hrs
x = 2 hrs
