Question 791711: 5c+4(c-1)>2+5(2+c)
Answer by wilft1(217) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! 5c +4(c-1) > 2 + 5(2+c)
first lets get rid of the parenthesis by multiplying them out...
5c + 4c - 4 > 2 + 10 + 5c
combine like terms
9c - 4 > 12 + 5c
add 4 to both sides
9c > 16 + 5c
subtract 5c from both sides
4c > 16
divide both sides by 4
c > 4
to graph this, draw a line with a hash mark for 0, then place an ( where 4 would be, draw a line with arrow going from the ( to the right showing that c is greater than 4.
