Divide by 6
1-2/3x > 7
Subtract 1
-(2/3)x > 6
Multiply by 3
-2x > 18
Divide by 2
-x > 9
then x < -9
Dividing by a negative changes the polarity from > to <
That's a shortcut, explained below.
------
-x > 9
Add x
0 > x + 9
Subtract 9
-9 > x
--> x < -9 same answer.
