Question 724261: -x + 3 > 7 is x < -4 when simplified. Which means that the value of x has to be less than -4 to be greater than 7. But, when you use -6 it does not work.
-6 + 3 > 7 = -3 > 7 which is wrong.
SO my question is, do you multiply -1 by the -6 or do you just use -6 for the -x.

-x + 3 > 7 is x < -4 when simplified. Which means that the value of x has to be less than -4 to be greater than 7
You forgot that there is a minus sign in front of the x, so whenever you plug in a number <-4, it becomes a positive number >4 and that works.
