Question 72101: Solve this equality: 5(x + 12) > 3x + 94 Note there is a line under the greater than sign
Answer by rmromero(383)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!

5(x + 12) ≥ 3x + 94 undo parenthesis by distributive property
5(x)+ 12(5) ≥ 3x + 94
5x + 60 ≥ 3x + 94 since 5x is greater than 3x we are going to subtract 3x both sides
5x - 3x + 60 ≥ 3x - 3x + 94
2x + 60 ≥ 94 then subtract 6 both sides to separate the variable
2x + 60 - 60 ≥ 94 - 60
2x ≥ 34 divide 2 both sides so that x will be left
x ≥ 17 ------>> answer
