A rectangle is 3 times longer than it is wide. The perimeter is 44cm. Find the dimensions of the rectangle.
-----------------
L = 4W
2L + 2W = 44
L + W = 22
4W + W = 22
5W = 22
W = 4.4 cm
L = 17.6 cm
================================
PS 3 times longer is 4 times as long, not 3 times as long.
