Question 69766: I am working on Inequalities and I'm having trouble on a couple problems and the directions on my worksheet are: Solve each inequality. Graph the solution on a number line. Here is the problem: m+6>10 and my answer is m=4, but i dont know what to do after that.

Well, you would draw a ray* on a number line so that the ray starts at 4 and goes on to infinity. However, the endpoint of the ray will have to be open, because the sign is >, not greater than or equal to.
That sign looks like:
>
-
with less of a space between the figures.

* If you do not know what a ray is, it is like a line (which goes of forever) but in has ONE endpoint. Kind of like an in-between between a line segment and a line.
NOTE: I take pre-algebra too, and I am doing this so I can get practice graphing inequalities. However, I am pretty good at graphing on a number line.
