Question 69546: Can you please help me solve this word problem?
Mendl's music teacher told him that he must prepare his recital piece to be played at a minimum speed of 101 beats per minute and a maximum speed of 150 beats per minute. This can be expressed by the inequality 150_>x_>101. Is 126 beats per minute a solution of this inequality?
P.S I'm not good at word problems at all, i have a learning disability and it's in math. If you can help that would be great. Thank you Much.
Answer by ankor@dixie-net.com(22740) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Actually 150 >= x >= 101 is the solution. It means x can be any value at, or between, 150 and 101, although writing it 101 <= x <= 150 may be more acceptable.
:
Another words, x does not have a unique solution, but a range of solutions.
