Question 675795: how do you work
10(z+4)-4(z-2)=3(z-1)+2(z-3)
please help-thnx

Answer by ReadingBoosters(3246)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
10(z+4)-4(z-2) = 3(z-1)+2(z-3)
Distribute
10(z) + 10(4) - 4(z) - 4(-2) = 3(z) + 3(-1) + 2(z) + 2(-3)
10z + 40 - 4z + 8 = 3z - 3 + 2z - 6
...
Group like terms

10z - 4z - 3z - 2z = -3 - 6 - 40 - 8
