Start with the given inequality.


Distribute.


Combine like terms on the left side.


Subtract from both sides.


Add to both sides.


Combine like terms on the left side.


Combine like terms on the right side.


Simplify


Since that last inequality is always true, there are an infinite number of solutions (since any real number works as a solution)
