QUESTION:
solve the inequality.
5(4-z)+5z-6>3z-8+1
ANSWER:
5(4-z)+5z-6>3z-8+1
Remove the parenthesis,
5*4- 5*z + 5z - 6 > 3z -8 + 1
20- 5z + 5z - 6 > 3z -8 + 1
20- 6 > 3z -8 + 1
14 > 3z - 7
Add 7 to both sides of the equation,
==> 14 + 7 > 3z - 7 + 7
==> 21 > 3z
Divide both sides by 3 ( because here 3 is multiplied by z)
==> 21/3 > 3z/3
==> 7 > z
So the value of z is less than 7
Hope you understood.
Regards.
