If -2 is less than x which is less then 0, then a is less then 3x+5 which is less than b

If -2 < x < 0, then a < 3x+5 < b

Solution to find "a" and "b":

If -2 < x < 0, then -6 < 3x < 0

and -1 < 3x+5 < 5
---
So a = -6 and b = 5
