how do I solve the equation 16+4x=2y and 3x+5y=27
-----
That's actually 2 equations, a system of equations
16+4x=2y Eqn 1
3x+5y=27 Eqn 2
-------------
There's more than one way, but substitution works well for these.
16+4x=2y Eqn 1
8 + 2x = y Eqn 1 * 1/2
Sub for y in Eqn 2
3x+5y=27
3x + 5(8+2x) = 27
Solve for x. Then sub and solve for y
