Question 598069: What is the correct solution for the inequality?
-13x + 13 > 78 i don't get this and this has been puzzling me for a while. help?

Answer by Alan3354(69443)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
-13x + 13 > 78
Subtract 13
-13x > 65
Divide by 13
-x > 5
Divide by -1
x < -5
-------
you can do it like this, too, if there's some question about the sign change:
-x > 5
Add x
0 > x + 5
Subtract 5
-5 > x
--> x < -5
