Question 58729: I need help understanding how to solve 2 inequality problems.
2a - 5 > 17
c/4 + 7 < -6
Answer by jai_kos(139) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
2a - 5 > 17
Given that
2a - 5 > 17
Add 5 on both sides, we get
2a > 17 + 5
2a > 22
Now divide by 2 on both sides, we get
a > 11
The solution is a >11
C/4 + 7 < -6
Given that
(C/4) + 7 < -6
Subtract 7 on both sides, we get
(C/4) + 7 - 7 < - 6 – 7
(C/4)< -13
Now multiply on both sides by 4, we get
C < -13 * 4
C < - 52
The solution is C < - 52
