Question 554962: For the circumfrence of a circle to be at least 22pi cm, what can the radius r be?
Answer by Theo(13342) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
circumference of a circle is equal to 2*pi*r
r is the radius.
you want a circumference of at least 22*pi.
from the formula, you get:
2*pi*r >= 22*pi
divide both sides of this equation by 2*pi to get:
r >= 11
that's your answer.
you need to have a radius that's at least 11 cm long.
if your radius is 11, then your circumference is 22*pi.
if you radius is 12, then your circumference is 24*pi.
etc.
