Answer by jim_thompson5910(35256) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
-2/3u+7 > 7u-9
3*(-2/3u)+3*7 > 3*7u-3*9
-2u+21 > 21u-27
-2u-21u > -27-21
-23u > -48
u < -48/(-23)
u < 48/23

Solve the inequality for u
First get u on its own side and the integers on their own side by doing the inverse of the variables and the intergers. Then divide the u value by the interger on the other side.
-2/3u+7>7u-9
+2/3u. +2/3u
7>7.666666667u-9
+9. +9
