Intercept method means hammer the equation into the form y+=+mx+%2B+b. So basically, solve for y. Once you've done that, b is the y-intercept (where the line crosses the y-axis) and m is the slope. Slope is rise over run...which is easy to graph

Ok, so here I have b+=+3 and m+=+-2
Here's how I'd graph that. I'd put my pencil on (0,3) and draw a dot. From that dot, I'd go right one unit, DOWN (since slope is negative) two units and draw another dot. Keep going right one and down two until you have enough dots that you're comfortable with using a straight edge to draw a line.
