You can put this solution on YOUR website! You find the answer by stating all the values that x can be to make the statement true.
I'll work a similar problem because I don't want to do your homework for you.
My problem will be -3x + 12 < -9
I want to solve for x in the same way that I did for simple equality problems. However, I have to be carefull in inequalities because greater/less than signs reverse when I multiply or divide both sides of the equation by a negative number.
Ok...-3x + 12 < -9
I'll subtract 12 from both sides leaving
-3x < -21
Now, I'll divide both sides by -3
x > 7 (note sign flippage)
2x+4 > -14 divide each side by 2. You will get
x + 2 > -7 subtract 2 from both sides. You will get
x + 2 - 2 > -7 - 2, which is the same as
x > -9.
It is your solution and your answer: x > -9.
